Fires on site end on March 31st 2024. We ask any plot holders who still have wood to burn to do so on their plots. Please check the wind direction before burning. The wind should be blowing towards the bottom of the site. DO NOT leave a fire unattended. Ensure the fire is completely out before leaving the site.
There is no longer a communal burning area on site. If you do not wish to burn any wood etc these need to be removed from site.

Tomato blight has now been confirmed on the outdoor tomato plants on many plots. The plants have black stems and the fruits are brown in appearance. Some plots do have tomato plants that are showing no signs of blight which may be due to a blight resistant variety being grown.
The combination of high temperatures and wet, humid conditions promote its rapid spread and this year we have definitely had that. Let’s hope next year is a better one for tomato growing outdoors.
